Skiing/Snowboarding – Park City is a top-ranked ski and snowboard destination and has over 7,300 acres of terrain. Last winter two of the town’s resorts, Canyons Resort and Park City Mountain Resort merged to create the largest ski area in the U.S. The result of this $50 million upgrade is 300 trails across, 40 lifts and 13 bowls. This is nearly 4 times larger than other popular destinations like Snowbird or Copper Mountain! The numbers are impressive but what most people relish about Park City are the friendly locals and the Old West charm.

Culture – While vacationing in Park City, you get a chance to not only invigorate your body, but also enrich your soul. The town has no shortage of art galleries, concerts, and world-class theater. If you are a movie buff then, Park City is the place to be. Each January the Sundance Institute hosts the iconic Sundance Film Festival dedicated to celebrating the independence and creativity of new voices in film. This festival is considered one of the world’s top three film festivals. The 2017 Festival will be held January 19th – 29th and promises to be spectacular.

Shopping – Main Street has been Park City’s place to shop since the late 1880s when merchants started catering to the needs of the town’s miners. As you walk down Main Street you definitely get the feel of the Old West. The shops showcase the eclectic style of Park City selling everything from souvenirs to the latest mountain fashions. Whatever you are looking for, Main Street shops are sure to have it.

Adventure – Park City takes adventure very seriously. During the 2002 Winter Olympics, Utah Olympic Park hosted the bobsled, skeleton, luge and Nordic ski jumping events. Now you can take a ride on the Park’s signature attraction, the Comet Bobsled. Sliding down the ice at 60 mph, you and a seasoned bobsled pilot can ride the official 2002 Olympic Sliding Track. If ice skating is more your speed, consider visiting the Utah Olympic Park Oval, also known as the Fastest Ice on Earth because it holds over 100 speed skating records. The Oval has over five acres of sports facilities, including the 2002 Olympic 400 meter speed skating oval. The oval offers skating lessons for all levels, from beginners to freestylers.

Dining – Whether you are in Park City to hit the slopes or attend the Sundance Film Festival, you will want to try some of the town’s 150 palate-pleasing options. Check out the restaurant, Handle, if you are interested about the elusive cuisine concept of “Utah cuisine.” Chef Briar Handley uses regional ingredients to make unique dishes like smoked trout sausage. Looking for Italian fare? Then Grappa is the place to go. Butcher’s Chop House and Bar lives up to its motto, “elegance without arrogance” with upscale renditions of classic dishes like shrimp and grits and beef short ribs.

Nightlife – From après-ski to late night revelry, Park City offers a myriad of options for those looking for a lively nightlife. There are classy clubs like Silver where Hollywood stars Demi Moore and Kate Bosworth frequent the casual local favorite, No Name Saloon. If you are into breweries, be sure to check out the Wasatch Brew Pub, the first brewery to open up in Utah back in 1989. At Wasatch you will get to sample well-crafted beer and learn the history of brewing in Utah. Regardless of what you are looking for in a night on the town, Park City has it.
