Our 12 day tour to Italy starts in Venice, and travels to Padua, Florence, Pisa and Lucca, SIENA & SAN GIMIGNANO, Assisi, Sorrento,Pompeii, Capri and Rome.
Visit such sites as the Rialto Bridge, the Grand Canal and St. Mark’s Basilica in Venice. In Florence, visit the Ponte Vecchio, the Duomo, the Giotto’s Campanile, and the Baptistery with the “Gates of paradise” in Florence. You will at your leisure have time to explore in Florence the Uffizi Art Gallery, which houses the world’s single greatest collection of Italian and Florentine art; or spend some time at the open-air market that sprawls around Piazza San Lorenzo and up towards the Mercato Centrale that offers leather goods, clothing and jewelry at low prices, as well as foodstuff.

In Pisa visit the leaning tower, and Piazza del Miracoli – a serious rival to Venice’s Piazza San Marco for the title of Italy’s most memorable square. Pisa now draws its fame from an architectural project gone terribly wrong: its Leaning Tower. But the world-famous tower is only one of a trio of Romanesque splendors on the green carpet of the. Lucca is gorgeous, a beautiful old city that sparks love at first sight thanks to its rich history, handsome churches and excellent restaurants. Hidden behind imposing Renaissance walls, it’s an essential stopover o n any Tuscan tour.
There will be a stop off in San Gimignano. You’ll have some time to walk around San Gimignano by yourself, and maybe decide to do some shopping. In the afternoon, have a guided visit of Siena, with its narrow streets and alleys around the fan-shaped Piazza del Campo. You will have a guided tour of Assisi. This beautiful medieval town, with its geranium-hung streets, lovely views and fountain-splashed piazzas, is heir to the legacy of St. Francis, who is buried in the Basilica di San Francesco.

Visits to Pompeii, the most important archaeological site in Europe, and then off to Capri..
