St. Maarten
Vacation in the CaribbeanCome to where European sophistication and raw island passion have fallen in love, where boredom is a forbidden emotion.
A magical place called St. Maarten. Here you can do what comes naturally, live in the moment, explore without limits, and renew your passion for life.
From the breathtaking cliffs of Cupecoy. To a beach where planes come so close you can practically touch them. And all the hotels, restaurants, casinos, nightclubs and beaches in between. From the ordinary to the extraordinary, the possibilities are limitless.
During our 5 or 7 night vacation, we stay on the French side at Orient Bay, with options for condos, apartments, or hotel rooms. Visit the many beaches, beach club, and some of the clothing optional beaches.
St. Maarten/St. Martin has thirty-seven beaches on its thirty-seven square miles. The cuisine is varied, from classic French to pizza and burgers, as well as local Caribbean fare. Blenders are busy mixing up delicious fresh frozen cocktails, guavaberry, mango, and passion fruit coladas heading the list.
The Island is a shopping paradise. Every square mile of St. Maarten is tax free and duty free. No duty is paid on any goods coming in or going out. But that’s just the half of it. Luxury items cost up to 50% less than in other countries, which is why cruise ships and travelers from around the world leave our shores with oodles of jewelry, fashion, cosmetics, electronics, and more. Great shopping all along Front Street, and down every side street, prices are quoted in US dollars.
It is a friendly and safe destination with a great cultural mix. It is also known for its duty free shopping. A rental car is a must
The Mecca for shopping is located on the Dutch side at Philipsburg.
The perfect time to visit is Oct to Dec. The winter months are high season.
